Dr. Victoria Kramb has over 30 years of experience in nondestructive evaluation (NDE), materials characterization and mechanical behavior at UDRI. Her current research efforts are directed toward NDE automation, robotics, spatial registration and advanced data analytics using machine learning and statistical approaches applied to multiple NDE data. She currently leads the NDE Engineering group at UDRI which performs NDE research in ultrasound, eddy current, thermography, radiography, X-ray CT, and resonance methods. Her research group has designed, integrated and delivered fully automated inspection systems using 6-axis robotic and COBOT manipulators. In addition to the experimental and systems capability, the NDE Engineering group has developed software applications including: Automated Computed Radiography Evaluation Software (ACRES), Probability of Detection (PODv4) following MIL-HDBK 1823 and the No Omission Research Management System (NORMS) automated specimen and test parameter documentation application. Dr. Kramb is a fellow in the American Society of Nondestructive Testing (ASNT) and has presented her group accomplishments at workshops and conferences in the US and internationally.
